You go into Goodwill and are immediately greeted by three 20+ pound bags of LEGO for just $6.96 each.
And to think that someone donated these for probably like a $2 tax deduction when they could have instead put them on Craigslist for $400 and sold them the same day. I’m just glad they found their way to someone who wants to keep them, though!

Now the question is, how many sets can you identify and rebuild?
...Also, if you have it, I might need a specific blue Lego piece and I’m willing to hand over Hot Wheels for it.

I would also have left with my pocket $20.88 lighter. Is very jealous, I is.

Whaaaaaaat? My thrift stores NEVER have Lego!
My mom’s attic does though. I just also got an awesome Lego score but I’m not sharing until I can take a picture of it.

Mind boggling. Those things are so insanely expensive that I can’t fathom them just being given away.

There’s a Minecraft skeleton I noticed in there, so Probably mostly new stuff... Which makes it even stranger to find them in a thrift shop.
Honestly, if I find that piece, I’ll bring it up the next time I’m out that way free of charge.

I’m out of space, too. Thats why I put them on my bed. They’re now on my floor in front of my dresser and I have no idea where to put them. Couldn’t just leave them behind, though.

Wow, new stuff? That’s a bit...concerning, considering most kids tend to keep their Legos for many, many years if their parents will allow it.
Oh, and that blue piece is the hood on this blue truck. It’s one of my oldest Lego sets and probably one of my most cherished...and probably the first one to stay destroyed for many years until I rebuilt everything about two years ago.

Yeah, I’m assuming it was either a really, really poorly thought out form of punishment or just a family moving away who wouldn’t let the kid take all of his toys, and, for some reason, the Legos stayed behind.
I’ll be on the lookout for that one! I know I already have that piece in several other colors, but not sure about blue.

Our robotics team coach was bragging that one of the pieces on the robot is older than any three of the kids put together. It’s a gear piece out of his personal collection, purchased when he was a kid over 40 years ago.

Wow!
My neighbors had a box of old Legos that their dad got from Legoland as a kid. I’m not sure their exact age, but I’d guess the timeframe would have been late ‘60s or early ‘70s. It’s really cool how they’re still all compatible with each other.

It is amazing. They were short one piece and the one he provided matches the other perfectly.
